The world is facing numerous serious and protracted humanitarian crises with tremendous human suffering as a consequence. From natural disasters to climate-related shocks, from conflict and displacement to persecution and marginalisation; crises come in all forms and affect many places, some of which we never hear about.
Meet the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation, Mrs Ulla Tørnæs, and the European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, Mr Christos Stylianides, for an exchange on Europe's role as a humanitarian actor in a world with growing humanitarian needs. Moderated by Mrs Stine Bosse (President of the European Movement, Denmark), the dialogue will give plenty of opportunities for questions and comments from the audience.
Please note that the event will take place in English.
A light refreshment will be served after the event.
