Event Description
The Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Denmark H.E. Antoni Fałkowski
and
the Head of the Representation of the European Commission in Denmark Mr Per Haugaard
in cooperation with Think Tank EUROPA and Rasmussen Global
request the pleasure of your company at a high-level debate
marking the 20th anniversary of the 2004 “Big Bang” European enlargement
and focusing on its lessons, including in the context of future EU enlargements,
on Wednesday, 8 May 2024 from 10.00 to 13.00 hours
at the National Museum of Denmark.
The debate, moderated by Ms Lykke Friis, director of Think Tank EUROPA,
will feature the following distinguished speakers:
Mr Anders Fogh Rasmussen, former Prime Minister of Denmark
and NATO Secretary-General,
Mr Jan Truszczyński, chief negotiator of Poland’s membership in the EU
and former Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland,
Ms Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka, Under-Secretary of State for European Union Affairs
at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland,
Mr Jonas Bering Liisberg, State Secretary for European Affairs & theb Arctic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark
Mr Gert Jan Koopman, Director-General of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, European Commission
The event will be followed by a glass of wine.
